“ EDUCATION OUT-REACH ”

Aims:
Concerning the high drop-outs and high illiteracy rate in Cambodia which mostly results from the lack of awareness of the benefits of education among the people, CPYs 2006 have come up with a project whose purpose is to raise awareness and to change mindsets on the importance of education.

Target People:

  1. Parents
  2. Students

Target Areas:
Areas with high illiteracy and high drop-out rates, especially slums and rural areas.

Strategies:
In order to enhance this project, two strategies are to be applied:

  1. Collaborations with local authority to identify areas with high illiteracy and drop-out rate.
  2. Provision of incentives such as books, study materials, gifts or clothes to encourage more involvement and participation in our project.

Action Plan:
The best methodology to implement this project is to seek cooperation and support from SSEAYP International Cambodia and other ex-PYs both Cambodian and Foreign PYs.

Budget Plan:
Resources to support our project are from:

  1. Fund from SI Cambodia, PYs, Ex-PYs, volunteer youths, charity, friends, family etc.
  2. Fund from concerts or performance

ime Available:
Once a month: Weekends and holidays
